Design Systems for B2B SaaS

I design software for people who can’t afford to guess.

A plant operator running a factory. A call center manager scheduling thousands of calls. A logistics coordinator tracking freight across three borders.

None of them have time to figure out your interface.

I create design systems and solve complex operational workflows for B2B SaaS. Currently at Redzone QAD, a manufacturing software running in 2,000+ factories.

About

I translate operational complexity into products people can actually use.

Ángel Martínez

Senior Product Designer

Over the last seven years I’ve worked across manufacturing (Redzone QAD), telecom (Callpicker), logistics (Mexbuy), and retail (Coca-Cola) · building design systems and core product workflows.

My work lives at the intersection of product design and engineering. I care as much about component architecture and token governance as I do about the interaction on the screen. And I make design decisions with behavioral data, business context, and AI-assistance.

I’m fluent in the language of product teams: I write specs, run design reviews, manage stakeholder feedback, and mentor junior designers. Design doesn’t end at the handoff.

My path

Every role added a constraint I hadn’t designed around before.

Aug 2025 – Present

Senior Product Designer

Redzone QAD

  • Leading the evolution of the Design System. Built it from zero: three platforms, four modules, one source of truth.
  • Design product workflows for plant operators, supervisors, and plant managers, translating complex manufacturing processes into flows optimized for shopfloor use.

Mar 2023 – Jul 2025

Lead Product Designer

Callpicker

  • Led a team of 2 designers and the product strategy for core platform flows, delivering redesigns with measurable impact.
  • Evolved the product design system with reusable components and documentation that accelerated frontend delivery.

Jan 2021 – Feb 2023

Product Designer

Mexbuy

  • Designed the main interface of the logistics and supply chain product, translating complex operational processes.
  • Built the product’s component library in Figma from scratch, foundation of the design system and visual consistency across multilingual modules (ES/EN/ZH).

Jan 2020 – Jan 2021

Product Designer

Nutenta · Coca-Cola FEMSA

  • Designed the interface of the e-commerce, rewards system, and training modules of the Android app for small retailers across Latin America.
  • Built the first reusable components and styles of the product, laying the foundation of the design system under Coca-Cola FEMSA brand guidelines.

Founder

Web design studio · Logistics

  • Learned what clients actually pay for before I learned what designers argue about.
Toolkit & Stats

I make design decisions with behavioral data and AI-assisted reviews, not at the end · as part of the process.

Services

Work with me.

S1

Product Design

End-to-end design for one product surface or feature. Discovery, interaction design, validation, handoff.

Best for

Teams shipping a new module or rebuilding a critical flow.

S2

Design System

Audit, architecture, or evolution. Tokens, component library, governance, Storybook docs, adoption with your engineers.

Best for

Teams whose system outgrew its first version · or who need one to exist at all.

How it works

4–12 week cycles. Project-based or retainer.
